Overseas Health Insurance - Dubai

One of our largest overseas health insurance clients employs mainly Arabic speaking employees, therefore we have in our Dubai office a Medical Claims Assessor of Jordanian background who liases with the employees and is able to give a clear understanding of the policy in Arabic. She is also available to meet with the employees face to face to explain the overseas medical insurance policy and answer any questions.

Along with having an Arabic speaker on the claims team, we also have staff from the Indian subcontinent. This is very helpful as they are familiar with the local tariffs and rates in India, and can adjudicate claims as reasonable and customary for the region.

As an example of the benefits of this service, we had a recent evacuation of a 4 year old boy from Dubai to South Africa for an emergency brain lesion. We were able to meet directly with the father and liaise with the American Hospital in Dubai for initial admission and diagnosis. We were then able to handle the evacuation through International SOS UK and International SOS South Africa in order to provide a smooth evacuation and contain the costs for treatment in South Africa . The outcome was very positive for the child, and the family had instant direct access to us during the planning stages. We were able to facilitate all aspects of the initial care, evacuation, further treatment and return.
